"Lunch Crowd"

12" x 16"  -  Oil on stretched canvas

Available  -  $620.00

The strong noon light cast a really nice deep shadow across this scene. I like how the details get lost in them. I'm making an effort to get more figures in my work where it feels right. I wanted to reinforce the leisurely noon-time theme here with the ladies enjoying a post-lunch stroll along the avenue.

Your work just keeps getting better. For a moment, I thought you had come to Portland to paint this!

Miss you, Tim. Give my sister a hug for me.

Tim, thanks for your comment on www.beardedbunnyblog.blogspot.com

I love your plein air paintings, and an envious of your talents. I find a soft calming effect in your works, while still engrossed to want to look deeper into the image. Which most paintings of such subject matter do not normally evoke.

Wetcanvas is a resource I have never used, and based on your recommendation will now try out.

thanks
William
