I had just gotten past the crucial block-in stage on this one when a security guard sauntered up and asked me what I was doing.
"Painting." I replied pointing to the fading light off the distant buildings.
He looked at my panel and then at me like I was speaking French. The panel at this point was smeared with different colors and looked like a rorshach test. He informed me that I was on Federal Property. I was standing on the boulevard on the back side of the building in question. He looked deep into my eyes and saw that I was not a terrorist and he gave me an hour and a half to finish up. God bless America and that security guard, for I would not have had time to set up anywhere else.

Hi Tim, I saw one of your pieces on Wetcanvas and made my way here. Your work is outstanding. I'll be back again.
Thanks Barbara.
Tim, I'm really liking these plein air paintings. You've captured the light in this one beautifully!
